2000's Grundig Shortwave Radio
Originally: Grundig SW Radio
$395.00
Shortwave radio offered something that ordinary local broadcasting couldn't: the possibility of hearing signals from far beyond your own city. With a Grundig receiver, listening could become exploration—moving slowly across frequencies, through static and interference, searching for a station arriving from somewhere else.
The controls and tuning hardware tell the story of that experience before the radio is even switched on. What looks complicated by today's standards was precisely the point: this was technology meant to be adjusted, tuned and explored rather than simply tapped.
