1980's Sanyo Turntable
Originally: Sanyo Turntable
$495.00
By May 1986, recorded music was already moving toward cassettes and compact discs, but the turntable remained something neither format could quite replace. Playing a record was visible and deliberate: choose an album, place it on the platter, lower the stylus and watch the record turn while the music played.
This Sanyo preserves the parts that made that ritual possible. The platter, tonearm, controls and underlying hardware turn a machine designed to reproduce music into a composition built around the mechanics of playing it.
