1990 ATT Button Dial Telephone
$195.00
The Trimline did something clever with one of the most familiar objects in the house: it moved the dial—or in this case, the buttons—off the base and put them directly into the handset. Suddenly a telephone could become smaller, lighter and unmistakably different without changing what a telephone was for.
By 1990, AT&T's Trimline 210 represented the push-button evolution of that idea. The handset, keypad, cord and compact internal electronics capture a transitional telephone era—modern enough to abandon the rotary dial, but still completely physical, wired and unmistakably attached to a place.
