For a few years in the 2000s, a plastic guitar could turn a living room into a stage. The Kramer Striker controller came from the height of Guitar Hero, when colored fret buttons, a strum bar and an enthusiastic group of friends were enough to make almost anyone feel like a rock star.
Pulled apart, those familiar controls become something different. Buttons, circuit boards, wiring and the unmistakable guitar silhouette expose just how much hardware was hiding inside a controller designed to make playing feel simple.
