1970's SoundDesign Portable Cassette Player
Originally: SoundDesign Model 7825 portable cassette player
$395.00
Long before a playlist lived on a phone, music was something you carried on tape. The SoundDesign 7825 belongs to that wonderfully mechanical chapter of portable audio—buttons that moved, a cassette door that opened, and a tape you could actually hold in your hand.
Taking the player apart shifts the focus from what it once played to how it was built. The controls, cassette mechanism, circuitry and internal hardware become the visual language of the piece, giving a familiar piece of audio technology an entirely different presence.
